- What is LearnX Explorer?
- A three-month, game-based introduction to technology for children aged 8–10. Through fun weekend sessions and hands-on practical days, your child moves from using technology to creating with it — building a first game, designing a character, and learning to stay safe online.
- Is my child the right age?
- Explorer is for ages 8–10, built by readiness, not just a birthday — a short, playful check decides the right starting level, so a confident younger child or a beginner older child is welcome.
- Does my child need a computer or any experience?
- No experience at all — Explorer assumes your child may have barely touched a computer. A shared classroom computer works, and every lesson has an “unplugged” version so a missing device or weak internet never stops progress.
- Is it online or at the centre?
- Mostly online — light weekend sessions your child joins from home across the three months. There are also in-person practical days at the centre; depending on your location and availability, your child can learn fully online or come in for the practical sessions.
- How much time does it take each week?
- About one 75–90 minute session per weekend across the three months, with optional practice at home. It fits around school, church and other weekend commitments — never to add pressure.
- Is it safe for my child?
- Safety is built in. Children learn online safety from the first mission; any lesson videos are private (unlisted) and watched only inside our platform; and we never publish a child’s name or face without your permission.
- What will my child have at the end?
- A real game they built, a character and poster they designed, a data chart, and a final project they present at Demo Day — plus badges along the way and an Explorer Graduate certificate.
